What's New in This Document
The section describes the updates made in this document for RUCKUS Cloud 20.03.
What's New in 20.03
Ease of Troubleshooting: APs and Switches establish an HTTPS session to the cloud controller. IT teams need to allow IN to OUT traffic to the cloud controller IP address. This IP address is now shown in the venue page.
Ease of Guest Access in European Union (EU): In support of Digital Single Market and Gigabit society as envisioned and defined by the European Council, WIFI4EU option is now available in the guest portal.
Ease of Accounting: As Wi-Fi clients roam across access points, a single session ID for RADIUS Accounting is maintained
RESTful APIs: RUCKUS Cloud APIs provide complete access to all RUCKUS Cloud functionality via a user-friendly RESTful Open API. They are partitioned into two namespaces for Wi-Fi and Tenant. Sample working example is also available along with rich API documentation.
Client Health Report: Client Health Report presents a summary picture of a Client's RF Health in a complex RF environment in an easy to consume format. Clients with Good, Average and Poor RF scores are depicted in colored boxes. This report displays client health score which is determined from key metrics such as RSSI, SNR, Client Throughput Estimate and Tx MCS. Powerful filters and charts allow administrators to view the client health over time, across AP groups and venues.
Comparison Report: Comparison report is a powerful tool for admins for comparing data sets across different parts of the network. It allows admins to define filters to select portions of the network and compare 20+ attributes across them.
Ability to Save Filters: Ability to create filters to allow admins to focus their investigation to a specific portion of the network. These filters can now be saved and reused eliminating unnecessary steps. Admins now has the ability to filter application by 5 GHz radio type in the Applications report and Data Explore--> Application Cube.
