New Features
The following software features are introduced in this release.
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Allow AP Port Setting Reset to default | Administrators can now reset the LAN port settings to default on a per-AP model basis at both the venue and AP levels. |
Channel for Notification | Administrators can now customize their notification preferences for firmware availability and upgrade alerts. This feature allows admins to selectively manage notifications for firmware availability and upgrade status updates based on specific device types, such as switches, access points (APs), and RUCKUS Edge devices. |
Model-based firmware management | RUCKUS One now provides visibility into the switch model number and the recommended firmware version for each model. It also displays the current firmware version installed across venues, allowing for easy comparison. Switch models are grouped into categories: ICX 8200, ICX 7150, and ICX 7550-7850. Admins can continue to upgrade switches either by venue or by individual device, but the target firmware version will now be determined based on the switch model group. |
New Portal Provider profile for the Captive portal WLAN with 3rd Party Captive Portal (WISPr) portal type | Administrators now have the option to select Smart Wifi by Weblib as the WISPr provider. |
Smart Monitor, Disable WLAN once AP Default Gateway is unreachable | Administrators can automatically disable WLANs if the access point’s default gateway becomes unreachable. This feature can be enabled or disabled at both the venue level and the individual access point level. |
