New and Changed Information

Feature Description Reference
ICX Control via HTTPS With August 2022 release, RUCKUS One started using HTTPs for managing access points. With this ICX firmware upgrade to FI09.0.10e, control of ICX switches by RUCKUS One will also be moved from using the SSH protocol to Websockets over Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS)/ Transport Layer Security (TLS). This is a major overhaul in the control and command of RUCKUS One access points and switches, allowing for more resiliency and reliability of the connection. To allow RUCKUS One to function properly, configure your firewall to allow for outbound connectivity according to the following guidelines.

Outbound HTTPS (TCP 443) from APs and switches to:

Firewall Ports to Open for RUCKUS Cloud
Schedule ICX firmware update Previously, in RUCKUS One the ICX switch firmware used to get applied at the account level resulting in all the switches getting upgraded at the same time. This limitation is now addressed. RUCKUS One users can now schedule the firmware upgrades on a per venue basis. This will benefit the users to better plan maintenance windows and upgrade venues at different time slots. Firmware Version Management
