June 2024 Release Information
New Features
The following software features are introduced in this release.
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Configuration Templates | The Configuration Template feature is a robust solution designed to enhance the efficiency and consistency of network and service deployments. Configuration Templates are pre-defined sets of settings and parameters that simplify the setup and deployment of various network and service components, making them an indispensable tool for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) onboarding tenants to RUCKUS One. By utilizing Configuration Templates, MSP administrators can create and manage template instances for venues, networks, services, and policies directly from the MSP web interface. These templates streamline the onboarding process, ensuring rapid and error-free deployment by including necessary configurations such as SSID settings, security parameters, and VLAN assignments. Additionally, Configuration Templates support a variety of types, including Venue, Network, Access Point Group, Switch, Policies, and Services, each tailored to specific deployment needs. This feature not only enhances operational efficiency but also provides MSP administrators with the tools to maintain consistent and secure network environments across multiple tenants. |
Firmware Update Notification Aggregation for MSPs |
The feature consolidates email notifications for the device firmware and enhances the administrator experience by offering a unified view of firmware essential updates and alerts for Wi-Fi and switch devices. When activated, recipients receive a weekly email summarizing information including migration status, firmware upgrades, cancellations, completions, reschedules, and failures. This streamlined approach ensures administrators are well-informed and can efficiently manage their network services. |
