New Features
The following software features are introduced in this release.

---|---|
Allow AP Port Setting Reset to default | Administrators can now reset the LAN port settings to default on a per-AP model basis at both the venue and AP levels. |
Channel for Notification | Administrators can now customize their notification preferences for firmware availability and upgrade alerts. This feature allows admins to selectively manage notifications for firmware availability and upgrade status updates based on specific device types, such as switches, access points (APs), and RUCKUS Edge devices. |
Model-based firmware management | RUCKUS One now provides visibility into the switch model number and the recommended firmware version for each model. It also displays the current firmware version installed across venues, allowing for easy comparison. Switch models are grouped into categories: ICX 8200, ICX 7150, and ICX 7550-7850. Admins can continue to upgrade switches either by venue or by individual device, but the target firmware version will now be determined based on the switch model group. |

AP Firmware Features and Enhancements
The following software features are introduced in AP firmware release 7.0.0.300.6497.
Feature | Description |
---|---|
LBS PreEngine API |
Users can utilize the RUCKUS One LBS PreEngine API, a raw data streaming API employing the MQTT protocol, which transmits RSSI and SNR client data collected by the APs. This data allows external applications to determine the location of a client device on a specified floor plan. |
Sticky Client Steering |
Sticky Client Steering can be customized at the AP level. Sticky Client Steering improves the user experience and optimizes network performance by redirecting clients with a poor Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) to more optimal APs. |
6 GHz Wi-Fi support |
6 GHz Wi-Fi support is now included in Taiwan, Macau, and Ireland, providing faster connectivity in these countries. |
