Navigating the RUCKUS Cloud MSP Portal

The RUCKUS Cloud web interface is a graphical user interface for managing your customers, licenses, access points, switches, venues, and wireless networks.

Cloud MSP portal licenses and functionality is only available to registered RUCKUS Value-added resellers (VARs). This is a crucial step that Cloud MSPs must verify before using the remainder of this guide. If you are unsure, please contact your local RUCKUS sales manager to verify this information.

Before you start your MSP practice using RUCKUS Cloud, you should customize the end-customer experience from branding and support perspectives. To do so, click on the Customers tab as shown here.

Click on Set-up your customers portal link to set up your MSP customization, including, the logo (in general, this is your business logo) that you would like to appear on the dashboard when your end-customer logs into their Cloud dashboard. There is also the need to input your support and contact information which your end-customer will see when they want to call support and so on.

First Time Login to the MSP Portal

The RUCKUS Cloud web interface has a different portal for MSPs who are authorized RUCKUS partners. When you login as an MSP, the Dashboard is displayed. The Dashboard has the three tabs.

  • Customers: Displays the number of customers in two sub tabs: MSP Customers and VAR Customers

  • MSP Licenses: MSP Licenses are a pool of licenses that allow MSPs to onboard their own customers without contacting RUCKUS. MSPs have full control over the service, management, branding and support for these customers. These are of the the type CLD-MWxx-x00x or CLD-MSxx-x00x

  • My Account: Displays details about the MSP account. End-user licenses are licenses meant for MSPs own use. MSPs can setup a network of their own with APs and switches using these licenses.

On first login for an MSP the Customers tab is empty. You must add an MSP license by clicking Add an MSP license. In the MSP Licenses tab, click Refresh to retrieve your already activated license, if any.

This is provided so that Cloud MSPs can continue supporting end customers as Value added retailers (VARs) and also start onboarding their own customers as MSPs. The Integrator & Installer sub-tab lists the Integrator and Installer accounts. The Device Inventory sub- tab provides detailed information about your networking devices.
