Known Behavior
This section lists expected product behaviors and considerations which are part of the intended design.
General
- A few features are available in the new RUCKUS AI web UI, but when you click on these features, you will be redirected to the Classic View (old RUCKUS Analytics web UI). You can use the old RUCKUS Analytics web UI to access features that are not visible in the new RUCKUS AI web UI.
- PCAPs are displayed within 15 minutes of the failure time.
Network Health
- The aggregate metrics panel in the Wired tab of the Health page remains independent of the custom SLA defined in the KPI charts; instead, it follows the default thresholds.
- The Health page includes stack ports in the total port count calculation.
- In the Overview and Wired tabs of the Health page, data is displayed only for switches running FastIron firmware version 10.0.10f or later.
Report and Data Studio
- In Data Studio, native filter has no effect for schedule reports and dashboard export csv.
- If Data Studio is opened in two different tabs or windows, toggling between Admin and Brand modes in a window will impact the other window or tab.
- In Data Studio, the filter applied on the Schedules page resets when you toggle between Admin and Brand modes. You have to apply the filter again.
- For scheduled reports and dashboards, if the query times out, no reports or dashboards will be sent.
- When a chart is exported in CSV format, the data may contain extra characters (such as a leading single quote) in the Tx Power data field. This is a standard security measure implemented to prevent CSV injection.
Service Validation
- Service Validation uses a built-in speed test utility that may report lower throughput results compared to commonly used speed test tools.
- Newly created SSIDs become available for Service Validation testing within 24 hours.
- In Service Validation, Ping/Traceroute/Speed Test uses the station AP DNS instead of the client subnet DNS.
- Service Validation with a virtual wireless client is supported only on non-mesh APs operating as station APs.
Video Call QoE
- Detailed Wi-Fi insights for Zoom call participants are typically available in RUCKUS AI within 30 minutes.
- When Zoom call participants are connected via VPN, the Zoom server may identify them as 'wired' clients, even if they are actually connected to RUCKUS Wi-Fi.
IntentAI
- In AI-Driven RRM with Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC), the Opclass parameter is not considered along with the AP channel width, which prevents the AP from operating in Standard Power (SP) mode.
- When using a non-default DP group, the SmartZone zone version and the DP group version must be identical for RUCKUS AI Intents to function properly.
- AI-Driven RRM is available in zones without active mesh APs.
- If an RRM-recommended change results in an increase in interfering links compared to previous data, it may be due to the dynamic nature of the network, driven by changes in the network topology or physical site conditions. However, the recommended changes always reflect the best possible channel plan based on current conditions.
- If new WLANs are added after an EquiFlex Intent is applied, EquiFlex does not update automatically. You must revert the Intent and wait for a new Intent to be generated so that the newly added WLANs are included.
Configuration Change feature
- The Config Change feature focuses only on configuration changes within Zones, WLANs/Groups, and APs/Groups. Other changes in SmartZone, such as those at the System or Domain level, profile updates, or adding/deleting Zones, WLANs, or Groups, are not shown on the Config Change page.
- Firmware changes in SmartZone are not recorded as a configuration change.
- Multi-level configuration for parameters such as SNMP v2/v3 agent information and AP model-specific configurations are not displayed.
