Managing Network Devices: APs
- AP Overview
- Adding an AP
Before you can provide Wi-Fi service in your venue, you must add at least one access point (AP) to your Ruckus Cloud account. - Adding APs in Bulk
If you want to add multiple access points (APs) to your Ruckus Cloud account, instead of adding them one by one, you can import them into your Ruckus Cloud account using a comma-separated value (CSV) file. Using the CSV template, you can import up to 50 APs simultaneously. - Viewing All APs
You can view a summary of all APs that you have added to your Ruckus Cloud account and check all of their statuses from a single page. - Accessing the Mesh Topology
Complete the following steps to view the Mesh information at the tenant level. - Viewing AP Details
From the APs page, you can select elements on the web interface to display detailed information about wireless clients associated with an AP, networks that are active on an AP, and events that have occurred on the AP within the last 24 hours. - Configuring Bonjour Services (Wi-Fi Only)
Bonjour® is the Apple implementation of a zero-configuration networking protocol for Apple® devices over IP. It allows OS X® and iOS devices to locate other devices such as printers, file servers, and other clients on the same broadcast domain and use the services offered without any network configuration required. - Deleting an AP from Ruckus Cloud
If you want to remove an AP from your Ruckus Cloud account, you will need to delete it. - Rebooting an AP
- Resetting an AP to Factory Defaults
If you want to erase all of the settings that you have configured on an AP, you can reset it to its factory default settings. - Testing the AP Connectivity
You can remotely test the AP connectivity using the ping and traceroute utilities. - Downloading the AP Log
The AP log contains AP system and configuration information, as well as AP runtime status, that can be useful for troubleshooting purposes. If you request technical support from Ruckus Wireless, you may be requested to download and send the AP log for analysis - AP Group Overview
An AP Group is used to define configuration options and apply them to a group of access points (APs), without having to individually modify the settings of each AP. - Ruckus Cloud AP Cloud Discovery
