Event Types
Events in RUCKUS One are classified into the following types:
- AP: AP events occur on access points managed by RUCKUS One. Examples include configuration updates, firmware changes, AP reboot events, and IP address changes.
- Security: Security events include information about security‑related detections and alerts. This includes rogue AP detections, client or device behaviors that may pose security risks, and other security‑related notifications.
- Client: Client events are related to wireless clients connected to your managed APs. Examples include client associations, disassociations, authentication failures, and client steering activities.
- Switch: Switch events occur on switches managed by RUCKUS One. Examples range from informational events (such as a switch firmware version update) to critical events (such as switch configuration failure or temperature issues).
- Network: Network events relate to network‑level components or integrations, such as connectivity with a local AAA server or external service dependencies.
- RUCKUS Edge: These events are related to RUCKUS Edge devices or services configured within your environment, including operational or connectivity updates.
- IoT Controller: These events are generated by IoT controllers integrated with RUCKUS One. Examples include device onboarding events or IoT service communication updates.
- Profile: Profile events relate to configuration profiles applied to devices, such as updates, changes, or applied policies.
- Optical: Optical events relate to optical modules or optical‑link–capable devices in the network, such as module presence, link health, or optical signal conditions.
