Wireless clients can be temporarily
disconnected from the wireless network. For example, when troubleshooting problematic
network connections, wireless clients may need to be manually disconnected as part of the
troubleshooting process. If, for any other reason, you need to disconnect a client device
from accessing the network, you can do so from RUCKUS One.
Complete the following steps to disconnect a
wireless client.
Note:
You must have administrator
privileges to disconnect a wireless client.
From the navigation pane, click
Clients > Wireless Clients
List.
By default, the Wireless Clients tab is selected and the Connected Clients are displayed.
Note: If a large number of clients
appears on the Clients page, use the
filtering options to narrow down the client list. For more information,
refer to Filtering Associated Clients.
From the list of currently
associated clients, select one or more clients and then click
Disconnect.
Alternatively, click on the name of the client to go to the client page
and on the upper-right corner, click Actions and click
Disconnect
Client.
When you select clients
that are connected to networks other than the captive portal network
type, the Revoke option is grayed out.
The selected clients are disconnected from the wireless network.
