Managing DPSK User Details

You can view details about the configured Dynamic Pre-Shared Key (DPSK) network users.

Follow these steps to view details about a wireless client that is currently associated with a DPSK network.
  1. On the navigation bar, select Network Control > My Services.
The My Services page is displayed.
  2. Select DPSK.
    The DPSK page is displayed.
  3. Click on the specific DPSK service name.
The Services window is displayed with the Overview and Passphrase Management tabs.
  4. Click the Passphrases Management tab. By default, the Overview page of the DPSK service is displayed.

    The Passphrases page is displayed.

You can customize which fields appear in the Passphrases table by clicking the icon and selecting or deselecting the desired column names. Optionally, you can click Reset to default to restore the default subset of columns.

You can use the Search option to display only the table entries matching the specified User Name or MAC Address; enter a minimum of two characters. Click Clear Filters to reset the filters.

You can sort the list by clicking the associated column header (except Passphrase, MAC Address, and Status).

The Passphrases Management page displays the following information for each passphrase:
    • Passphrase created—Indicates the date and time that the passphrase was created.
    • User Name—The name defined when creating the DPSK passphrase to help associate devices with names.
    • Identity—The system-created client identity assigned to the when the DPSK passphrase was added. Each user's corresponding identity is clickable, providing you quick access to the client's details.
    • No. of Devices—The number of devices allowed per passphrase.
    • Passphrase—The actual passphrase the user has to provide before they can access the network.
    • MAC Address—The MAC address bound to the passphrase, either by configuration during passphrase creation or by being the first device to authenticate to the network using this passphrase.

If no MAC address appears for a passphrase, then either the passphrase is configured to allow only one device but no MAC address was defined, or the passphrase is configured to allow more than one device and no device has used the passphrase to become bound to it.

    • VLAN—The device is placed on this VLAN after authenticating to the Wi-Fi network.
    • Status—The status of the passphrase; values are Active and Revoked (with a date and time stamp).
    • Expires—The passphrase expiration date configured for the DPSK service and applied to all passphrases in the passphrase pool, or a specifically selected date configured when the DPSK passphrase was added.
Note: If the expiration date is modified at the DPSK service level, that change does not propagate to the pre-existing passphrases associated with that service; they retain the original expiration chosen when they were added. You may edit the expiration of individual passphrases at any time.
    • Revocation Reason—Reason entered when the passphrase was revoked.
    • Contact Email Address—Email address of the DPSK user.
    • Contact Phone Number—Phone number of the DPSK user.

If no user credentials are set up, you can click Add Passphrases. For more information, refer to Adding a Passphrase for a DPSK User.

  5. (Optional) From the Passphrases page, you may perform passphrase management tasks at the individual passphrase level. The following options are available after selecting one or more specific passphrases:
