The Service Validation tool empowers
you to perform network connectivity tests for LAN, WAN, and connectivity to application
servers, and display its report.
Note: Service Validation is available only to professional tiers or MSP accounts.
APs emulate virtual clients and perform the end-to-end connectivity tests (such as
EAP, RADIUS, DHCP, DNS, ping, and traceroute), thereby connecting to a Wi-Fi network
and the internet thereafter. The tool also performs speed tests to determine the
quality of the connection.
You can create a variety of tests and save them to apply later or on-demand.
Complete the following steps to create a service validation test:
Click the AI
Assurance > Network
Assurance > Service
Validation menu option. The Service Validation page
is displayed.
2. Click Create Test. The Create Test
Settings page is displayed.
Enter the test name, select the client type, test type, network, authentication
method, and other desired test settings. Click Next.
Select the network APs you want to include in the test, then click
Next.
On the Summary page, verify the test settings, then click
Create.
The test is saved and displayed in the table on the Service Validation
page. The test will run per the Test Type periodicity that you
selected.
Complete the following steps to run a service validation test
on-demand:
Click the AI
Assurance > Network
Assurance > Service
Validation menu option. The Service
Validation page is displayed.
In the service validation table, select the test you want to run and
click Run Now. After the test is completed, the test result is
displayed in Last Result column. Click the test name attribute.
The Service Validation Test Report page is displayed for your
analysis.
