Service Validation
The Service Validation page allows you to create, run, and monitor validation tests that verify the readiness and availability of key network services across wireless and wired environments. Service validation tests help confirm that network connectivity and upstream services are functioning as expected before client onboarding and during troubleshooting.
Service Validation supports separate workflows for wireless and wired networks. The Wireless sub-tab provides service validation for Access Points (APs), where APs emulate wireless clients or virtual wireless clients to validate connection stages such as Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP), Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), ping, traceroute, and speed tests. The Wired sub-tab provides service validation for switches, where selected switches validate services at the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) level by simulating an internal client within a specified client VLAN and running service checks such as DHCP, DNS, ping, and traceroute.
Use Service Validation to run tests on demand or schedule recurring tests to proactively validate network service availability. Test results provide summary and detailed views that help you identify service issues, isolate connection-stage failures, and troubleshoot wireless or wired network connectivity problems.
