Managing Identity Groups

From the RUCKUS One web interface, you can configure an identity group. You can allow new clients to connect to APs using DPSK Service or connect known clients via MAC Registration. It is recommended that you create a DPSK Service or MAC Registration List before creating an Identity Group.

Complete the following steps to configure identity management:
  1. On the Navigation bar, select Clients > Identity Management > Identity Groups.
    The Identity Management page is displayed.
  2. Click the Identity Groups tab to view all configured identity groups.
    The following information is displayed:
    • Identity Group: Displays the group name as a hyperlink. Clicking the hyperlink opens the Identity Group Details page, which displays the configured information for the selected group.
      • The details include Venue, Identities, DPSK Service, MAC Registration, Personal Identity Network, Certificate Template, Adaptive Policy, and Auto Clean-up.
      Additionally, the page displays Identities, listing all identities configured under the selected group. A Configure button is available at the top-right corner of this page to edit or update the identity group configuration.

    • Description: Displays the description of the identity group.
    • Venue: Displays the venue associated with the identity group as a hyperlink. Clicking the hyperlink opens the Venue Overview page. A Configure button is available on this page to edit or update the venue configuration.
    • DPSK Service: Displays the name of the associated DPSK service as a hyperlink. Clicking the hyperlink opens the DPSK Overview page. A Configure button is available on this page to edit or update the DPSK service configuration.
    • MAC Registration List: Displays the MAC Registration List linked to the identity group as a hyperlink. Clicking the hyperlink opens the MAC Registration List Overview page. A Configure button is available on this page to edit or update the MAC Registration configuration.
    • Certificate Template: Displays the Certificate Template associated with the identity group as a hyperlink. Clicking the hyperlink opens the Certificate Template Details page. A Configure button is available on this page to edit or update the certificate template configuration.
    • Personal Identity Network: Displays the personal identity network associated with the identity group (if configured).
    • Identities: Displays the number of identities associated with the group.

    You can use the Search option to display only table entries that match the specified Identity Group or Description; enter a minimum of two characters. Additionally, you can filter the list by selecting one or more options from the Venue, DPSK Service, MAC Registration List, Certificate Template, or Personal Identity Network drop-down. Use the Clear Filters option to remove all applied filters.

    You can also customize which table columns appear in the Identity Groups table by clicking the icon and selecting or deselecting the desired columns. Optionally, click Reset to default to restore the default subset of columns.

  3. Click Add Identity Group to add a new identity group. Refer to Adding an Identity Group.
  4. (Optional) Select the radio button next to the Identity Group column and click Edit to modify identity group information. Refer to Editing an Identity Group.
  5. (Optional) Select the radio button next to the Identity Group column and click Delete to remove an identity group. Refer to Deleting an Identity Group.
