Services Settings
- From the navigation pane, click Venues.
- Select a venue to go to the Wi-Fi Settings page.
- Click Settings on upper-right corner and then select Wi-Fi Settings from the drop-down.

Select the Services tab.
The Services page appears. By default, the Syslog Server sub-tab is selected.
- To customize the Syslog Server you must first turn the Enable Server switch to ON.

Configure the following fields:
- Enter the IP address of the external syslog server in the Primary Server Address field. This is a required field.
- Enter the port number in the Port field. The default is 514. This is a required field.
- Choose a protocol from the Protocol drop-down. Supported protocols are TCP and UDP.
- (Optional) Configure the Secondary Server Address.
- Select the event facility from the Event Facility drop-down. The options are Keep Original (default), 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
- Select a send logs options from the Send Logs drop-down. The options are: General Logs, Client Flow, and All Logs
- Click Save Sevices, and then click Close.

After Step 4, select the Location Server (vSPoT)
sub-tab.
The Services page appears. By default, the Syslog Server sub-tab is selected.
- Set the Location Server (vSPoT) to ON. By default, Location Server (vSPoT) switch is set to OFF.

Click Add Server to add a Location
Server.
The Add Server dialog box appears.

Complete the followingc and then click Add.
- Server Description: Enter the name of the server (up to 32 alphanumeric characters).
- Server Address: Enter a valid IP address or URL (up to 252 characters).
- Port: Enter the port number. The valid range is from 1 through 65535. The default value is 8883.
- Password:
Enter the password for the location server. The password must be a minimum
of 8 characters and up to 63 characters in length. Note: The password is automatically generated in SPoT ™ when you create the venue configuration.
- Click Save Sevices, and then click Close.
