Viewing the Wired AP Clients List

You can view, monitor, and manage wired access points within your network from the AP Clients List page.

To view the list of wired APs, complete the following steps.
  1. On the RUCKUS One web interface, select Clients > Wired > AP Clients List.
The AP Clients page displays the following information for AP wired clients that are currently associated with your managed APs:
    • Hostname: Displays the hostname of the AP wired client. Click the AP wired client name (Hostname). The Overview page for the AP wired client is displayed where you can view details such as the Client Details, Connection, and Events.
    • Alias: Displays the alias name. Administrators and guest users can rename the client alias. The alias names must be 1–256 characters long. You can edit the alias name by selecting the appropriate checkbox beside the hostname and select Edit. The Edit Alias sidebar is displayed where you can enter a new alias name.

You can also use the Alias filter to control which AP clients appear in the AP Clients tab based on whether they have an alias name. The filter options include All, Alias, and Non‑Alias

    • OS: Displays as icon representing the operating system running on the AP wired client.
    • MAC Address: Displays the MAC address of the AP wired client.
    • IPv4 Address: Displays the IPv4 address of the client.
    • IPv6 Address: Displays the IPv6 address of the client.
    • Venue: Displays the venue the AP wired client and the AP are associated with.
    • AP: Displays the AP name.
    • AP MAC: Displays the MAC address of the AP.
    • LAN Port: Displays the AP LAN port number to which the AP wired client is connected.

You can click on the port number (hyperlink) to view the LAN port configuration and edit the Ethernet Port Profile if necessary.

    • VLAN: Displays the VLAN Untag ID assigned to the AP LAN port.
    • Device Type: Displays an icon representing the type of device (laptop, router, or other user equipment) connected to the AP.
    • Auth Status: Displays whether the AP wired client is authorized to access the network.

You can customize which fields appear in the table by clicking the icon and selecting or deselecting the desired column names. Drag and drop individual column names up or down the list to customize the left‑to‑right column display in the table. Optionally, you can click Reset to default to have the default subset of columns appear in the table. Use the Clear Filters option to remove all applied filters.

You can use the Search option to display only the table entries matching the specified Hostname, MAC Address, IPv4 Address, AP MAC, and Alias; enter a minimum of two characters. Additionally, you can filter the list using the Venue, AP, and Alias drop-down menus.

After you apply a search or filter, the remaining filter options are updated dynamically to display only the values available in the current results. Previously selected filter values remain applied even if they are not displayed in the updated filter options.

  2. (Optional) Click the icon to update the table with the most recent data. The Auto Refresh toggle automatically refreshes the table at regular intervals when enabled, ensuring that the displayed information remains current without a manual refresh.
  3. (Optional) Click the icon to export and download the list in CSV format.
