Viewing Wi-Fi Clients Details

From the Wi-Fi page, you can get an overview of the Wi-Fi clients.

To view the Wi-Fi client details, complete the following steps.
  1. From the navigation bar, click Clients to expand the menu.
  2. Under Wireless, click Wireless Clients List.
  3. Click a client name to go to the Overview page.
    The Overview page provides details information about the Wi-Fi client.

    The Overview tab consists of the following components:

    • Overview
    • Client details
    • Top 10 Applications by traffic volume
    • Operational data
    • Connection
    • Traffic by usage
    • Traffic by band
    In the Overview tab, you can choose to display information based on the following time duration.
    • Last 24 hours
    • Last 7 days
    • Last 30 days
    The Overview section displays the following information.

    APs Connected Number of APs that are connected
    Avg. Rate Average rate in Bytes
    User Traffic User traffic in MB
    Total Connected Time Total connected time in hours and minutes
    Applications Number of applications being used
    Avg. Session Length Average session length in minutes and seconds
    Sessions Number of sessions
    2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz Utilization of 2.4-GHz, 5-GHz, and 6-GHz radios in MB
    The Client Details section displays information about the wireless client's network properties. The following table lists the client's current connection details:

    Properties Description
    MAC Address MAC address of the wireless client
    IP Address IP address assigned to the wireless client
    OS Operating System icon and name
    Host Name Product name
    User Name User name used to associate with wireless client with the managed AP
    The Operational Data (Current) section displays information about the wireless client's operational data. The following table lists the operational data details for current connected clients ( this information is not available for disconnected clients):

    Properties Description
    RF Channel Radio Frequency (RF) channel number
    Traffic From Client Number of bytes received during this current session
    Packets From Client Number of packets in total, received during this current session
    Traffic To Client Number of bytes sent during this current session
    Packets To Client Number of packets in total, sent during this current session
    Frames Dropped Number of frames dropped during this current session
    SNR The signal-to-noise ratio, expressed in decibels (dB). The signal power indicator adjacent to the value indicates signal strength; hover over the SNR value to check the signal strength. Higher value indicates more power.
    RSSI The received signal strength indicator, expressed in dBm. The value may be expressed in three colors - green, orange, or red. Green represents good signal strength, orange represents moderate signal strength, and red represents poor signal strength.
    Noise Floor An estimate of the radio's noise floor power of an AP, expressed in dBm.
    The Connection section displays the information about the wireless client's connection. The following table lists the client's current connection details:

    Venue Venue name where the client is located
    Wireles Network Network name
    SSID SSID on the managed AP to which the wireless client is associated
    VLAN ID ID number of the VLAN
    BSSID BSSID on the managed AP to which the wireless client is associated
