Adding a Guest Portal Service

You can add guest portal to provide Wi-Fi services.

Complete the following steps to add a guest portal.
  1. From the navigation bar, select Network Control > Service Catalog. Alternatively, You can click on Network Control > My Services > Add Service.
    The Service Catalog page is displayed.
  2. Find the Portal tile and click Add.
  3. In the Add Portal Service page, complete the following settings:

    • Service Name: Enter the name of the Guest portal service.
    • View as: Select the device icon (desktop, tablet, or mobile) and select the captive portal network type from the drop-down list. For Active Directory or LDAP server network type, you are required to enter a username and password to access the Guest portal. Click the icon to get information about the selected network type.
    • Language: Select your preferred Guest portal language from the drop-down list.
    • Components: Click Components to control which elements appear in the guest portal.

      The Manage Components panel displays a list of portal elements with toggle switches. Enable or disable each component to customise the portal layout and content.

      You can configure the following components:

      • Logo – Displays the organisation logo at the top of the portal.
      • Welcome text – Displays a short welcome message to users (recommended under 100 characters).
      • Photo – Displays an image in the main portal area.
      • Secondary text – Displays additional descriptive text below the image (recommended under 280 characters).
      • Terms & conditions – Displays terms that users must review or accept. It allows you to configure how end users view and access terms before they proceed.

        You can choose one of the following methods:

        • Create custom message for terms and conditions – Enter and display custom terms directly within the portal. Use this option when you want to provide inline policy content to users. .Click Manage Link to add a URL to the message. In the Manage link dialog box, enter a full URL (http or https) and click Save. Ensure that any referenced URLs are accessible within the walled garden so you can view them before internet access is granted.
        • Link to URL

          Provide a direct link to an external terms and conditions page.

          Enter the full URL (including http or https).

          Ensure that the URL is added to the walled garden so users can access it before internet connectivity is granted.

      • Branding Logo: The logo uploaded here is used in related notifications. In some cases, RUCKUS One applies the custom logo configured in the associated Portal Service Profile.
      • Your Logo: Add your logo.
      • Background Settings: Select background color and image.
      • Provided by label – Displays the service provider information on the guest portal.When enabled, the portal shows a Provided by label, typically followed by the name of the organisation, service provider, or partner delivering the Wi‑Fi service.
      • WiFi4EU Snippet – Displays the WiFi4EU label, if applicable. Copy this value from your WiFi4EU installation report and paste it into the field.

      Select the icon next to a component (where available) to configure its content or behaviour.

  4. (Optional) Click Preview to preview the Guest portal design and choose the dimensions of the preview screen by selecting
  5. (Optional) Click Reset to reset all the settings.
  6. After designing the guest portal, click Add.
