Managing a Property Unit and Associated Identities

RUCKUS One property management allows you to manage the configuration and availability of a specific Property Unit, as well as manage the individual Identities associated with the property unit.

The following prerequisites must be completed prior to performing this task:
Complete the following steps to manage a specific property unit or associated identities.
  1. On the navigation bar, click Venues.
    The Venues page is displayed.
  2. Click on the specific Venue Name.
    By default, the Overview tab for the venue is displayed.
  3. Select the Property Units tab.
  4. Click on a unit name in the Unit Name column.
    The Unit Details page is displayed.

    The Unit Details page displays the following information:
    • Resident's Name
    • Resident's Email
    • Status
    • VLAN
    • DPSK Passphrase
    • Guest DPSK Passphrase
    • Identities
  5. (Optional) Remove the association of an Identity with the unit. In the Unit Details page, under Identities, click the checkbox for a specific identity name to display the Remove Association option. Click Remove Association; click Remove Association in the confirmation box to remove the identity from the property unit.
  6. (Optional) Block an identity associated with the unit. In the Unit Details page, under Identities, click the checkbox for a specific identity name to display the Block option. Click Block; click Block in the confirmation box to block the user from accessing the property unit network.
  7. Suspend the property unit. On the upper-right corner of the Unit Details page, click Suspend. Click Suspend in the confirmation box to confirm suspension of the property unit.
  8. (Optional) Access and manage the resident's portal.
    1. On the upper-right corner of the Unit Details page, click View Portal to navigate to the resident's portal.
      The resident's portal opens in a new tab of your browser.
    2. Click Access Your Portal to log in to the resident portal.
      The resident portal is displayed.

      On the resident portal, you can view and reset the Wi-Fi paraphrase, Guest Wi-Fi passphrase, and Identity Wi-Fi passphrase for individual Identity Devices, as well as remove a connected device.
