Editing a Network
Editing a network allows you to update its identifying attributes and adjust common network settings to control how the network is displayed and used across venues. A Wi‑Fi network configuration determines how the network is identified, authenticated, and presented to users.
Note: You edit only the settings associated with the preselected network
type. Tabs and options vary depending on the network type.

On the navigation bar, select
Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi
Networks > Wi-Fi Networks
List.
The Wi-Fi Networks page is displayed.

Select the radio button
alongside the network name and click Edit.
Alternatively, select the network name. The Network Details page for the selected Wi-Fi network is displayed, defaulting to the Overview tab, then click Configure.The Edit Network page is displayed.

Modify the fields on the
Network
Details page. You can update the following fields:
- Network Name
- (Optional) SSIDNote: When a DPSK SSID is modified, the administrator receives a notification that the current linked passphrase is removed. To retain the passphrases, export them before the modification and import them into the new DPSK SSID.
- (Optional) Description
- Network Type: Displays the type of Wi‑Fi network. This field is read‑only.

Edit the settings associated
with the preselected network type.
The tabs displayed on the left vary depending on the network type. Only the tabs and fields relevant to the selected network type are displayed.
Depending on the selected network type, one or more of the following tabs appear:
- Portal Type: Displays the portal workflow assigned to the network. This tab is read‑only and appears only for Captive Portal networks.
- Onboarding: Appears for portal workflows that require user onboarding.
- Settings: Appears for Wi‑Fi networks that use passphrases, enterprise authentication, Hotspot 2.0, or onboarding‑driven workflows. The fields vary by network type.
- More Settings: Displays advanced configuration fields for the selected network type. Refer to Configuring Additional Settings for a Wi-Fi Network for more details.
- Portal Web Page: Appears only for Captive Portal workflows that support a customizable web page.
- Venues: Displays the list of venues where the Wi‑Fi network is assigned. You can activate or deactivate the network at specific venues.

Click Apply.
