Switch Settings: General

You can configure general switch settings such as configuration profiles, DNS, and syslog servers from the RUCKUS One web interface.

Complete the following steps to configure the switch settings.
  1. On the navigation bar, click Venues.
    The Venues page is displayed.
  2. Select the Venue Name and click Edit. Alternatively, select the venue name and click Configure.
    The Edit Venue page is displayed, defaulting to the General tab.
  3. Click the Switch Configuration tab.

  4. (Optional) Configuration Profile: Complete the following steps to add a configuration profile:
    1. Click Select.
      The Select Configuration Profile dialog box is displayed, defaulting to the Regular Profiles sub-tab.
    2. Select a regular profile from the Regular Profiles list or add a new switch configuration profile.
    3. Select CLI Profiles sub-tab and select one or more CLI profiles using the checkboxes from the list or add a new CLI profile.
  5. (Optional) DNS: Complete the following steps to add a DNS profile:
    1. Click Add IP Address.
    2. (Optional) Click the icon to remove the IP address.
  6. (Optional) Syslog Server: Complete the following steps to add a syslog server:
    1. Toggle the Syslog Server switch on or click icon to enable and configure an external syslog server.
      The Syslog Server Configuration dialog box is displayed.

    2. Enter the Server 1 IP Address.
    3. (Optional) Enter the Server 2 IP Address.
    4. Click OK.
  7. Click Save to save the switch settings.
