Viewing AP Properties
The AP Properties page displays information about the AP including name, venue, serial number, MAC address, IP address, firmware version, and so on.
Complete the following steps to view detailed information about an AP.
- On the navigation bar, click .
- Click the name of a specific AP.
The AP Overview page is displayed.
- In the AP
Properties section, click More.
The AP Properties page displays the following information:
- Venue: The name of the venue to which the AP is deployed. Click the venue Name to navigate to the venue Overview page.
- AP Group: The name of the AP group.
- Description: The description currently assigned to the AP.
- GPS Coordinates: The GPS coordinates of the AP.
- S/N: The serial number of AP.
- MAC Address: The MAC address of the AP.
- IP Address: The IP address that is currently assigned to the AP.
- Primary DNS: The primary DNS IP address.
- Secondary DNS: The secondary DNS IP address.
- Ext. IP Address: The external IP address.
- Model: The AP model.
- Type: The type of AP model (indoor or outdoor).
- Version: The firmware version that is currently installed on the AP.
- Mesh Role: The type of Mesh role, if enabled.
- Switch Port:
The port number of the switch that is connected to the AP.
The port number is displayed as an active link in blue if the information of the AP switch port is available. Click the port number to edit it. Refer to Editing a Switch Port for more information. If the switch port is part of a LAG, then refer to Adding, Editing, or Deleting a LAG for more information.
Note: Modifying an uplink port may result in the switch losing connectivity. - PoE Port Speed: Displays the data transmission rate supported by the Ethernet port.
- PoE Class: Displays the classification system defined by IEEE standards (802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt) that determines how much power the wireless AP can receive from the PoE switch.
- Allocated Power:
Displays power (in watts) allocated by the Power Sourcing Equipment to the
Powered Device.Note:
- The AP displays PoE Port Speed, PoE Class, and Allocated Power only when it connects directly to a switch via PoE.
- If the AP uses other power sources such as DC or AC adapters, or PoE injectors, it does not display these PoE properties.
- The AP Properties panel does not guarantee the display of complete PoE details when the AP connects to third-party switches.
- To display PoE properties, both the AP and the connected switch must have LLDP enabled.
- To enable the display of PoE Port Speed, PoE Class, and Allocated Power, the AP must be running firmware version 6.2.3.103.179 or newer.
- Uptime: Displays the time that has elapsed since the AP was last started.
- Last Seen: Displays the time and date when the AP was last online.
