Editing an AP

From the RUCKUS One, you can edit an AP to change its venue, AP group, name, description, GPS coordinates, IP settings, and radio setting.

Complete the following steps to edit an AP.
  1. On the navigation bar, click Wi-Fi > Access Points > Access Point List.
    The Wi-Fi page is displayed.
  2. From the list of APs, check the name of the AP that you want to edit.
  3. On the upper-right corner of the page, click Edit.
    The General page is displayed.

  4. Update the AP settings as required.
    You can edit the following fields:
    • Venue: Select another venue to which you want to deploy this AP.
    • AP Group: Select another AP group to which you want to add the AP.
    • AP Name: Edit a name for the AP. You could use the AP model number or another name that will help you to identify this AP.
    • Description: Edit the description of the AP.
    • Tags: You can edit this field and update with new tags.
    • GPS Coordinates: By default, the AP inherits the GPS coordinates of the venue. If you wish to change the GPS coordinates, click Change and the enter valid latitude and longitude values.
  5. Edit the settings in the Radio, Networking, Network Control, and Advanced tabs.   6. Click Apply.
