Exporting Events or Scheduling Event Export

From RUCKUS One, you can download all or selected events to your local drive or configure a schedule for exporting events to an email address.

Complete the following steps to export events or schedule event export at a desired time.
  1. On the navigation bar, click Administration > Timeline > Events.
    The Events page is displayed:
    Viewing Events

    By default, a list of events that have occurred within the last 24 hours. The Events page displays. The Events page has the following filters: Search Source Description, Severity, Event Type, and Product.

  2. On the upper-right hand corner, click the Export icon.
    A dropdown menu is displayed with the following option.
    • Export Now
    • Schedule Export
  3. Click Export Now to generate event reports and download the events in a .csv file. When you click Export Now, RUCKUS One generates events. When the event export is ready, it will prompt you to download. Click Download to download the events to your local hard drive.
  4. Click Schedule Export to configure a schedule for exporting events.
    The Schedule Export Event dialog box is displayed.
    Scheduling Export Event
    Complete the following:
    1. Make sure that the Enable Event Export Schedule switch is enabled.
    2. For Email Recipient, you must enter email address (es) of the intended events report recipients. For more information on how to add an email address for system notifications, refer to Adding a Recipient for System Notifications.
    3. For Frequency, select the frequency from the dropdown. By default, the frequency is set to Weekly. The other option is Monthly.
    4. For Send reports on, select a day and the time at which the events should be exported.
    5. (Optional) For Product filter, select AP,Switch, or General.
    6. (Optional) For Severity filter, select one of these: Critical, Warning, Major, Minor, or Informational.
    7. (Optional) For Event Type filter, select AP, Switch, or SecurityClient, Network, Admin, Admin Activity, or Notification.
    8. For Has Words filter, enter specific keywords associated with the events to be filtered.
  5. Click Apply.
