Limitations of RUCKUS ICX 8100
- Switch stacking is not supported.
- Breakout ports (high-speed port divided into multiple lower-speed ports for optimizing network performance) are not supported.
- Open Shortest Path First or OSPF (routing protocol that determines the best path for data packets to travel across a network) is not supported.
- Only one Virtual Ethernet (VE) interface (enables communication between VLANs, virtual machines (VMs), or containers and the physical network) is supported.
- Only the default static route (fixed, manually configured network path) is allowed.
- Supported firmware
versions:
- Router firmware is supported.
- RUCKUS ICX 8100 switches (ICX 8100-24, ICX 8100-24P, ICX 8100-48, ICX 8100-48P and ICX 8100-C08PF) are supported in FastIron firmware versions 10.0.20b_cd1, 10.0.10f_cd2, and later.
- RUCKUS ICX 8100 10G switches (ICX 8100-24-X, ICX 8100-24P-X, ICX 8100-48-X, ICX 8100-48P-X, and ICX 8100-C08PF-X) are supported in FastIron firmware versions 10.0.10g-cd1, 10.0.20c, and later.
