Viewing the Switch List

On the RUCKUS One Switch List tab, you can view the status and identifier information for all RUCKUS ICX switches associated with your RUCKUS One account.

Complete the following steps to view the associated ICX switches:
  1. On the navigation bar, select Wired > Switches > Switch List.
The Switches page is displayed, defaulting to the Switch List page.
    Switches

The icon is displayed beside the switch that is not running the recommended firmware version for RUCKUS One. Upgrade to the recommended version to ensure optimal support and compatibility.

You can review the following details for each switch:

    • Switch: Displays the switch name as a hyperlink.
      • Selecting the switch name opens the Switch Overview page.
      • Selecting the icon alongside the name of the switch expands and displays the individual member switches in the stack.

The expanded view displays the connectivity status of each stack member (for example, Connected, Disconnected, or Never Connected).

Note: For ICX 8100‑AV stacks, each member displays its AV model identifier (for example, ICX 8100‑24P V, ICX 8100‑C08PF V).
Note: For ICX 8200‑AV stacks, each member displays its AV model identifier (for example, ICX 8200‑24PV, ICX 8200‑C08PFV).
    • Status: Displays the operational status of the switch.

The status indicates the switch state, such as Never Contacted Cloud (not onboarded), Initializing (in progress), Firmware Updating (upgrade in progress), Operational (working normally), and Disconnected from Cloud (offline).

For stack members, the status includes two states: Never Contacted Cloud (has not yet established communication with the cloud) and Disconnected from Cloud (currently not communicating with the stack or cloud).

Note: The status Never contacted cloud for ICX 7K switches may indicate that the firmware version is below the required 09.0.10, which blocks onboarding.
    • Model: Displays the ICX switch model.
Note: The following models are now supported:
      • ICX 8100 and ICX 8100-X models
      • ICX 8100-AV models
      • ICX 8200‑AV (Audio/Video) models

Refer to Supported ICX 8100 and ICX 8200 Series Switch Models for more details.

    • MAC Address: Displays the MAC address of the switch.
    • Admin Password: Displays the administrator password in masked format.
    • Serial Number: Displays the serial number of the switch.
    • IP Address: Displays the IP address assigned to the switch.
    • Firmware: Displays the firmware version running on the switch.
    • Venue: Displays the associated venue name as a hyperlink. Selecting the venue name opens the Venue Overview page.
    • Up Time: Displays the operational duration in days, hours, and minutes. For example, 4 days, 21 hours.
    • Connected Clients: Displays the number of clients connected to the switch.
    • Ext IP Address: Displays the external IP address used by the switch.

You can use the Search option to display only the table entries matching the specified Switch, Model, MAC Address, Serial Number, IP Address, and Ext IP Address; enter a minimum of two characters. Additionally, you can filter the list of switches by selecting options from the drop-down menus of the Switch, Status, Model, Venue, and Group By fields. You can customize which fields appear in the table by clicking the icon and selecting or deselecting the desired column names. Drag and drop individual column names up or down the list to customize the left‑to‑right column display in the table. Optionally, you can click Reset to default to have the default subset of columns. Click Clear Filters to reset the filters. You can sort the list by clicking the associated column header.
