Adding VLAN Interfaces (VEs)
You can select a switch from a venue and add Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) interfaces, otherwise known as Virtual Ethernets (VEs), to it.
VLAN interfaces (or VEs) are virtual ports used to manage and route traffic within and between VLANs, providing the following benefits:
- Network Segmentation: VEs divide a physical network into multiple logical networks, reducing broadcast traffic and improving performance.
- Security: They isolate sensitive data by separating traffic into distinct VLANs, enhancing security.
- Management: VEs simplify network management by allowing logical grouping of devices, making configuration easier.
- Inter-VLAN Communication: They enable communication between different VLANs, essential for interconnected network segments.
- Performance and Scalability: VEs improve network performance and scalability by minimizing broadcast traffic and allowing easy network expansion.
