Understanding the Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU) Dashboard

The MDU 360 Dashboard helps property teams and service providers manage Wi-Fi across MDUs with ease, offering real-time visibility into network performance and resident experience for better service delivery.

Feature Overview

A Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) is a residential building or complex that contains multiple housing units within a single complex such as apartments, senior living communities, student hostels, and so on. MDUs often share infrastructure like utilities and internet services, making managed Wi-Fi solutions especially valuable for ensuring consistent, high-quality connectivity across all units while simplifying network management for property owners and service providers.

The MDU 360 dashboard, integrated within RUCKUS One, is a centralized management interface customized for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) serving MDUs. This unified dashboard offers a comprehensive view across multiple residential properties, enabling stakeholders to efficiently oversee and optimize network operations. It delivers critical insights into network health, ensuring consistent performance and uptime, while also monitoring resident experience to enhance service quality and satisfaction.

The MDU 360 dashboard offers the following benefits to property owners and property managers:
  • Simplifies operations by managing networks from a single, centralized platform.
  • Improves tenant and resident satisfaction by delivering reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the property.
  • Provides MSPs with essential tools for live network monitoring, rapid issue resolution, and efficient license management.

Requirements

  • MSP access to the MDU 360 dashboard and associated MDU capabilities requires a RUCKUS One Multi-tenant Professional-tier cloud license.
  • For effective view of Unit details, MSP Customers must use RUCKUS One Property Management module and configure Property Units under the Venue.

Considerations

To display the MDU 360 dashboard page filtering options, there must be at least one property with valid data. The filters appear only when the system has enough information to populate the selection menu.

  • MDU Property Managers - The MDU MSP must create the MDU Property Manager accounts as MSP End Customers (MSP-ECs).
  • MDU Installers - If the MDU MSP plans to outsource device installation tasks at a Property, then the MDU MSP must create the MDU Installers as Tech Partner users within RUCKUS One.
  • MDU Subcontractors - If the MDU MSP plans to outsource or sub-contract network management services for the MDU Property Manger, then the MDU MSP must create the MDU Subcontractors as Tech Partner users within RUCKUS One.
