Viewing and Syncing Config Template Drifts

RUCKUS One detects configuration drift between an MSP template and an EC instance, allowing you to view the drift difference and synchronize the EC instance configuration with the MSP template.

Drift detection and synchronization are supported only for RBAC APIs.
Complete the following steps to view a config template drift and apply synchronization.
  1. On the navigation bar, click Templates.
In the Configuration Templates page, use the Drift Status column or filter to check the drift status (Drift Detected, In Sync).
  2. To view a drift difference, select a specific configuration template with Drift Detected status and then click Show Drifts to view detailed information.

The Customer Drifts Report sidebar is displayed with the drift configuration operation names and the difference content includes configuration name paths and values. For non-RBAC APIs, clicking on the icon displays the "Drifts are not available" message.

  3. To synchronize the drift difference between an MSP template and an EC tenant, in the Customer Drifts Report sidebar, select a specific MSP-EC tenant check box and click Sync. After the synchronization, the Drift Status is updated to In Sync.
Note: The Sync operation synchronizes only the template-related configurations to the MSP-EC tenant.
Note: The Sync operation attempts to apply the dependent templates if the MSP-EC tenant does not already have them.
  4. To perform a synchronization of all drifts for one or more customers, select the Sync all drifts for all customers check box, choose the associated customer (or customers) from the drop-down list, and click Sync.
