Editing or Deleting the Syslog Server Policy
You can edit or delete a Syslog Server profile to update its configuration or remove it when it is no longer needed.
Complete the following steps to edit or delete the Syslog Server:

From the navigation bar, select
Network
Control > My
Services.
The My Services page is displayed.

In the My
Services page, click Syslog Server.
The Syslog Server page is displayed. The page displays the list of all the Syslog Server profiles defined in the RUCKUS One account:
- Name: Displays the name of the Syslog Server policy.
- Primary Server: Displays the IP address of the primary Syslog Server.
- Secondary Server: Displays the IP address of the secondary Syslog Server.
- Event Facility: Displays the selected event facility.
- Send Logs: Displays the selected log type.
- Venues: Displays the number of venues to which the Syslog Server is applied.
You can customize which fields appear in the table by clicking the
icon and selecting or deselecting the desired column names. Drag and drop
individual column names up or down the list to customize the left‑to‑right
column display in the table. Optionally, you can click Reset to
default to restore the default subset of
columns. -
Select the checkbox alongside
the name to display and access the following options:
- Edit
- Delete

Click Edit to modify
the Syslog Server configuration.
The Edit Syslog Server page is displayed.

Update the required fields on the Settings and
Scope pages, and click
Apply.
- Policy Name
- Primary Server
- Secondary Server
- Event Facility
- Send Logs
- Select one or more venues by clicking the checkbox next to the venue name, and then click Activate or Deactivate, or toggle the switch on in the Activate for Wi‑Fi column to enable or disable syslog for the selected venues.

Update the required fields on the Settings and
Scope pages, and click
Apply.

Click Delete to delete
a Syslog Server.
A confirmation dialog is displayed. Review and click Delete Policy.Note: These Syslog Servers cannot be deleted if they are assigned to one or more venues.
